We are a Serotta Dealer

Serotta has been one of the key players here at Bespoke since the beginning. In fact, when we were in the beginning phases of starting this whole thing, the fact that Serotta wanted to be involved was a huge motivator. They have been, and will continue to be, part of our business for years to come. They've weathered a terrible economy, bad industry trends, and the monster sized marketing machines of the mass produced bike companies. There are reasons we stuck with them through this and will continue to do so.

Serotta's commitment and dedication to their core philosophies as a bike MAKER (not just designer/outsourcer) are outright inspiring. It's this tremendous focus and their uncompromising values that give us not only the utmost confidence in their product but also serve as parallel guiding principals for our business. The idea is the best of the best, for the right reasons, without question...pure quality.

The story of Serotta is an integral part of the history of American pro bike racing. The 7-Eleven team, Hampsten, Phinney, Roll, the '84 Olympics...all on Serotta's and the list goes on. American professional bicycle racing would not be the same without Serotta. Roots.

Details. Every Serotta uses nothing but the finest materials available. Their carbon tubing and forks are made in house in Poway, California and they butt and swage all their titanium tubing themselves in Saratoga, NY. These bikes are as clean and beautiful on the inside as on the outside. This level of control over manufacturing processes produces a far more consistent ride character from one frame to the next. Mass produced bikes allow for far lower manufacturing tolerances...if anyone even looks that closely. The paint used is the most durable and environmentally friendly out their. They machine their own dropouts and fittings in house as well. No other company is producing this much of their product in the USA, not to mention in house under their own roof. Serotta makes easily the most durable frames and forks out there, that might cost a few grams but at 40 plus mph, I'll take the peace of mind. I've been in some nasty crashes and I am not soft on my bikes, I can personally attest to their strength and durability. We've cut up forks and cross sectioned tubing on our own and like I said, even the insides are immaculate. Look closely, if perfect exists, this is it.

We are incredibly happy that Serotta has weathered the storm. We've fought the same battles in a sense and we consider ourselves and the other Serotta dealers in the world a team, a sort of family. Not just anyone can sell Serotta, they are very diligent about who they offer dealerships to and the level of expertise among Serotta dealers is industry leading. We are a proud Serotta dealer. The future is looking pretty darn good.

Here is a link to a recent letter sent out to Serotta owners and dealers. A Note from Ben.

Here are some of our favorites.

Meivici dropout close up. Non-replaceable hanger? Why? Because it shifts WAY better and if you can actually bend it, I would be impressed. Durability, durability, durability...

Mr. Marcoux's Meivici - jealous of the paint ever since I saw it.

Ari's Meivici in paint

Ari's Meivici DI2 right before any finishing

The wife's bikes always turn out nicer than mine

Ottrot dropout close up. There's bearing in there folks. The ST rear end on the Ottrot provides perhaps one of the best riding bikes on the road

Ottrott Di2 detail
Ottrott with a great story behind it but you'll have to ask

Jeff's Pink Coeur D'Acier. Steel swaged and butted tubing with carbon seat stay.

My first Serotta. Also a great story here. This bike just got repainted and it has been through hell and back and keeps coming back for more. I will ride this bike forever.

More Ottrott detail

All steel Colorado for Renny

Like I said...hell and back

Meivici with Enve and Record, yes please!

There have been countless others, all of which made their new owners very happy. Serotta's frames tend to carry a premium price tag but you truly get what you pay for. We wouldn't sell them if that weren't true. If you own one, you know. We are lucky to sell bikes from some of the best builders in the world. Serotta is one such company. There is a lot coming so stay tuned.

  1. Good to hear Serotta appears well again. I recently purchased my first (last?) bespoke bike from Serotta. Couldn't be more pleased. In part inspired by reading Robert Penn's book: "It's all about the bike." Good read.

My Ottrott. Campy Record, Errus wheelset, Adamo saddle.
